DESCRIBTION AND ABILITIES (General for all terratan breeds)
Height and build: 165-185cm, from light warmblood to mustang
bodybuild
Habitat: mountain meadows, grassland foothills, mountain slopes
Feed: fregular horse food
Lifespan: 25-30yo
Life cycle: nursing foal 3-6months, weanling to 1yo, yearling to 2yo,
adolescent to 3yo, adult till 20, senior 20+
Special abilities: Color changing horns, eyes and some markings according to mood.
Breeding details: Chance for twins 87+, no more than two foals at once
Extra pictures for propper offspring growth: Foal with alteast one of
parents, playing foal, foal climbing rocks

Nowadays extinct wild terratan. |
Wild terratans were grullo, with large twisted horns with small dismorphy,
long tails with two additional smaller ones and were able to change small
parts of horns and whole eyes according to mood.
Wild terratans used to live in temperate grasslands atound steep rocky hills
of Terrateka. (Todays land of Atherna). Trolls from Scaram epire first started
to domesticate them and are responsible for all six breeds.
Since terratan horses were easier to keep than other ridable creatures of
Terrateka, they quickly gained popularity among orcs. Hovewer orcs used
terratans mostly as source of food and materials. Wild terratans were
considered delikacy among orcs. It is orc race, who is responsible for wild
markhorse extinction.
Wild behavior:
Terratans are social animals living in herds with social structure
coresponding with real world horses. Dominant stallions will lead herds and
fight off other stallions trying to mate with mares of their harem. Hovewer
fights are different. Terratan skull is thicker and can withstand big
impact. The horns protect the skull too, and are hardy and definitely not
easy to be broken off. So stallions fight by wrestling, trying to push
opponent further away. If opponent slips out of the pressure, they do bite
and kick.
Domestic behavior:
In domesticity (most of terratans live in domestic conditions) they well do
best if kept in company of other markhorses, or atleast equines in general.
It is not advised, to add markhorse into domestic herd created by nagians,
as unicorn horn is incompatabile with nature to head to head wrestle
of terratans.
Generally are terratans fairly easy going and somewhat energetic, but
exceptions do occure.
Stable requirements:
Terratans can be kept in outside paddock for whole year, unless kept in part
of world with extensive very cold enviroment.
They do best if regular schedule of feeding is provided.
Also keeping them in motion, especially jumping or in hard variable terrain is
good. They don't do too well harnessed to work with heavy burdens, as they
were bred for riding.

TRIVIA
- Original markhorse design were created by Jasper-19, which was at her time very active admin of Colderra.
- Markhorses reached top popularity in group in years 2014-2016 and there were many imports and customs sold. This led to increase of price. Then Jasper dropped activity and stepped down from her admin position, but custom price stayed unchanged.
- Since price of custom os such height or involvement of real money is agains ideology of Colderra, markas price lowered and avaliability restricted.
- Only recently, in 2021, were markhorses renamed to Terratan horses.
