CLASSIFICATION
Species: Mesfes (equine)
Subspecies: Savaaggan horse
Breeds: Silura, Cyprine, Esoxon, Acinper, Anquil, Onchorn
DESCRIBTION AND ABILITIES (General for all savaaggan breeds)
Lifespan: 25-30yo
Life cycle: nursing tadpole 3-6months, transformation from tadpole to
foal from 6th month, weanling to 1yo, fully transformed to foal around 1yo,
yearling to 2yo, adolescent to 3yo, adult till 20, senior 20+
Special abilities: Walking on water, breathing under water, ability to
protect rider from drowning and water pressure, various safe dive depths
Breeding details: Chance for twins 99+, no more than two foals at once,
roll 1d100 to see, if hipocampal anomaly is present (if roll 90+, your savaggan
has the anomaly).
Extra pictures for propper offspring growth: Foal with alteast one of
parents, playing foal, tadpole with tiny back legs, exploring dry land for first
time
Design details
All savaggans lack ears (they do hear though) and any kind of body hair.
Unlike nagians, they have one pair of gills localised right behind head. Their
skin is fish-like and they generally do not do too well in dry enviroments.
They need protective blankets, if expected to be out of water for longer time,
than couple of hours.
From tadpole to a foal
Savagan foals are called tadpoles. Simply because when savaggan horse is born,
it lacks hind legs. Instead is there a long tail. Tadpoles start growing legs
in the six months. At the end of first year, they have fully developed legs
and are able to step out of water. Tadpole stadium is present in any crosbreed
with 50% or higher of any savaggan breed.
Hipocampal anomaly
Growth anomaly that can rarely occur, if tadpoles don't develop legs. Such a
horse is fully aquatic, keeping the tadpole tail and absence of legs, but is
sterile.
SILURA - catfish breed
Height and build: 190-210cm, heavy draft horse build.
Habitat: Lake depths.
Feed: Anything edible, that can fit their mouth.
Max. dive depth: 800m
Danger: Drying out in hot, dry enviroments.

Design details: The whiskers help to navigate in dark and murky water. They have two
pairs. Upper long pair, and lover short pair. Their mouth is very small,
full of rows of tiny teeth. Since the mouth is so small, there is no way to give them bridles with bites. For control can be used rings put on base of upper whiskers.
Wild behavior
Wild siluras inhabit both of Savga’s lakes. Their life is generally fairly
slow, as they tend to dwell in thr dark, cool waters, searching for bits and
scraps, that they suckle from bottom. They stay in herds of 10-15 animals,
including tadpoles. Since there are big crestures, that are able to hunt them
down, they do protect their youg. In case of danger siluran herd will make
large cloud of lift up detrits and mud, whilst makind loud clickon noises.
This confuses hunter and siluras have time to escape. Siluran herds don't have
complivated hierarchy and mating takes place at spring. Mares pick their mate
acording to how high he can jump out of a water, and length of whiskers playes
a role too. This is one of few moments, when wild silura s actually dwells
close to the surface.
Domestic behavior
It doesn't appear to matter that much. Domestec or wild, still chill outgoing
animal, that knows it is big and doesn't have to fear most of the time. The do
however tent to be lazy and need a good discipline, to be valueable working
horse. And the love to eat trash and get dirty.
Stable requirements
As for all other savagans, you need a large enough water body, that they can
inhabit. Silura doesn't care who it lives with, as long as the stablemate
isn't too annoying. In that case they might turn to agression. When it comes
to food, siluras doesn't chew, so putting food directly in warer, so they can
suck it
CYPRINE - carp breed
Height and build: 170-180cm, baroque horse build.
Habitat: Lake soft bottom shallows.
Feed: Insects, normal horse food.
Max. dive depth: 20m
Danger: Drying out in hot, dry enviroments, like to take small stone in their mouth or swallow.

Wild behavior
Cyprines live in fairly large herds in shallower lake water (up to 12m), espcially parts with soft, vegetative sediments on the bottom. Cyprine herds commonly count up to 20 members and are led by most powerfull stallion, similarly to real world horses. But when it is mating season, herds from regions gather up, in much greater numbers. You can even see herds counting hundreds of cyprines, running across lakes towards static, murky waters in swampy shallow lake banks. Mating takes place at spring, when water levels rise and flood more areas. During the gathering herd hierarchies change. Are formed new hers according to mating couples. Stallion challenge each other, and then they pick members for their herd. This all happens during one week. Then large herd is disbanded into smaller groups, thet find their territories. Interesting about cyprines is the way they keep their youngs. When they are still in the tadpole phase, they keep them hidden in between the roots of trees, rocks or caverns. All young are kept together, and the whole herd takes care of them, bringing them food and protection. When the first sign of legs emerges, small cyprines are allowed to leave the den.
Domestic behavior
Domestic cyprines sometimes act like they have abandoned all common sense. They are not insane, but seem really unintelligent. They will be getting into silly situations, such as getting stuck and needing help. It is unsure why they change from a relatively smart animal, into such a dummy. Training them is real hard, especially for dressage, as they require a lot of time and patience, if you want them, to understand commands. But once they master the commans, they look really good, mostly due their high step. Breeding however needs to be stimulated, as with few other savaggan breeds, with rockbubble grass, which in some forms grows all around the Cesferan freshwater bodies without a lot of movement.
Stable requirements
Any paddock covered in thin mud and puddles will be enough. But if you can get them murky,
green yet chemically clean water, they will be happiest. generally they are probablyone of the least demanding.
Other sava'aggans are definitely ready to be bought or customed. Only this page isn't complete, as I haven't thought really deep lore for them yet. Here's some quick info, before I'll have time to work on more info with them:
Onchorn
- Based on trout, wamrblood horses. Loving insects, loving jumping, are very
lively and smart horses.
Anquill
- Based on eel, warmblood pacers, with posture like
tennessee walker. Their character is very sly and slippery, be aware
of their smart ways to outsmart you! They eat insects, and normal horse
food.
Esoxon - Based on pike, arabian build. These are hunters, carnivorous, they eat
other fish and insects. They are also really smart, and will attack, try to
eat or steal anything shiny they will see, so be aware, and train them well.
They are fast, and persistnat.
Acinper
- Based on sturgeon, fjord build. Smallest, but most hardcore and
persistent. They have hard scales, and nostrils localized near to eyes. They
eat everything, excluding meat.
