General describtion:
Called 'Qual'aberan lizards' there's four different reptilian species hidden under this name. Two are quadrupedal and two bipedal, all of them are ridable and they are used for different tasks. All of them come from Isle of Qual'aber, which is tropical island inhabited solely by dicters (lizard folk) and overall reptilian animals. There's also fish, birds and isnects to be found on that island, but mammales are not native there (were introduced from import).
Since these four Qual'aberan lizards cannot crossbreed and are not even the same species, classification and rider requirements will be mentioned separately in each describtions.

Describtions will follow in such order: Potheerog, kirenag, gildenad, arcequin.

Behavior:
Domesticated long time ago, you will not find wild potheerog, unless it has escaped from some farmer. Potheergos never really were on a top of a food chain, in a world of much bigger reptiles present. They were prey for larger crocodilesin water and for larger lizards on land, so being easy to train and ridable was their ticket to surviving.
Potheerogs are sociable animals, in many ways similar to dogs. Large and silent dogs. They like to play, bask on sun, they like company of other non hostile creatures, they have very good sense of smell and also receptores to monitor presences in water. Besides being easily trainable to carry rider, they can be used for hunting both on land and water or protect certain territory as a guard dog.
Potheerogs live in pairs and you can keep males and females together, but before the pairs are formed, they will fight over partners, so it is better idea to put them in one paddock once pairs are formed.
Mating is stimulated by the full moon. Next three days are females in heat and ungelded males try to mate. If mating is sucesfull, female layes three months later eggs into a wet, warm sand. Hatchlings are born two months later. During that time mother guards her nest very agressively, and is able to go on without food for whole time. Training to carry a saddle starts in third year of age.
Stable requirements:
Wet and hot, best with acess to water in which potheerog can swim. Also some surface that can radiate heat is a good adition. In paddock, each pair should have enough space and there shouldn't be present any fertile potheerog, that has no pair yet. It would try to steal someones partner, leading to dangerous fighting.

Wild behavior:
Living in packs, with alfa male as leader of pack, counting around 10 members including younglings. Kirenags are teritorial, and hunt in packs. They specialise on hunted larger prey than them, which then they all share. If two packs bump into each other, they can can join and hunt even larger target, or they will fight. Male picks females to mate with, usually based on their size, as bigger females have better abilities to defend the nest. Heat season comes after end of rain season. Fertilised females build nest big enought for all of them, which then is ferociously protected by whole pack.
Domestic behavior:
Kirenags bred by humannoids display many similar behavioral traits as wild ones. The pack hiearchy is preserved, with humannoid accepted to their pack as member, often even a leader. On breeding farms there's usually nesting ground for fertilised females, that is well hidden, so the females feel safe. Thus pack doesn't need to protect the females and rest of it can be used for work as usually. Trait, that is not found in wild kirenags is agressivity in old individuals. These need to be re-trained and used separately from their pack, as the are agressive towards it. Most common usage for old kirenags is war, or battle.
Stable requirements:
If kept in paddock, it can be very similar to horse paddock, but with additions of hiding places and no need of grass, since they do not graze. But remember, that it is hard to keep kirenag in one spot. They are smart and can easily escape even closed doors. Best way to keep your kirenag in, is to have a good relationship with it.
