This quest can be done by multiple characters at once or collab with another artist. Can be repeated by the same character.
"It is merely a legend," laughed gnome in a library. Your personal matters brought you to the library, but a strange book caught your eye. It was called The Devil's Steed. On a cover there was carving of a horse with spikes and horns, longer mouth and sharp teeth. You already seen enough to know, that horses with horns, spikes, wings, cleft hooves or any other insanity are real. So why would this little guy tell you, that it is only a legend? You asked and librarian aswered: "Many tried to find the devil's horses. In the legend is written, that these are bestowed with herritable unique features, unlike perked or transmoged animals. Orc named Zag'rach, who was by the way real, is supposed to be their creator. A potent mage or whatnot. I say it is legend. But if you want to try your luck, head onto Terrateka, the dry wastelands on northern parts should be the right place, the Desert of Hell's flame. Where else would the so called Devil's steeds be..." he laughed, "But except for possibly those... steeds, you will find there great discomfort, outcasted orcs, angry beasts and other unpleasant things. Take my word and don't bother looking for a mirrage, it's not worth it.
QUEST OBJECTIVE
Draw two pictures.
First pic should
contain something like dealing with librarian, looking into the book,
packing up, or traveling through the desert, dealing with local fauna
(except for the steeds)...
Second pic should depict your rider dealing with one of the steeds. Capturing, fighting, killing or even taming in
heeehaw rodeo style... it is up to you, but the steeds won't give up easily.
Surroundings: Arizona inspired wasteland. Stool mountinas, plateaus, red sand, vultures, cacti...
simply Arizona. Try to not include too iconic parts of Arizona in real world, after all, you are in fantasy. Also it is a homeland of
giant geckos and
helysarcs.
The devils's steed: Based of krofi horses, not sure which subspecies exactly, they resemble reptilian and equine combined. They can breed, have foals and if there is a herd, it is very small and cautious. living in hardly acessible places. They can eat cacti, or even hunt smaller animals, if need. Colors are either
krofi inspired, or
giant gecko inspired, or combo of both.
Exampe of the steed. Colors may vary, body structure is rougly the same. As reference was used very buff quarter horse.
REWARD
Option A - sell
You can design and put up for sale horse you have captured. It will be uploaded from
WoC-brissinge account, but rits it will sold for will go stright to you. You will obtain between 20-30
✪ (10 sided dice will decide it).
Option B - keep
You will design the equine you captured. It is now on considered as yours. And unlike perked mounts, the horns, thorns, tail, mouth etc. can be passed onto offsprings.
Option C - kill
You will kill the horse. You can keep material for one epic item as reward, that will be created from hide, horns, bones, etc. of the horse.
Option D - let go
You are a kind soul, you don't want to keep the horse. You just wanted to see it or touch it or whatever. You will get a good feeling. And experience medium boost for mount of your choice.
